Karenveer Pannu, Student

Karenveer Pannu received her BA from the University of Toronto, where she double majored in Political Science and Diaspora Studies, and minored in English. She also completed her M.Ed at OISE, at the University of Toronto, in Curriculum and Pedagogy.
Karenveer is passionate about liberatory education and knowledge building processes grounded within community. She works as a community animator at the Tamarack Institute, and has been supporting Tamarack’s Participatory Grantmaking project in the Peel region.
This project has been an experimentation in trust-based philanthropy and is what inspired her to pursue the MPNL program at Carleton University.
She looks forward to continuing her understanding of philanthropy and the nonprofit sector through this program. In her free time, Karenveer enjoys listening to music and podcasts, going to concerts and visiting bookstores.
