Sarah Jasmine Hodgson, Student

Sarah Jasmine Hodgson

Sarah Jasmine Hodgson is passionate about Canadian arts and culture. Her interest in the arts began at a young age, but her passion was most nurtured during her time at the University of Ottawa completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts. During her undergraduate, she was mentored by professors as a research assistant, curated local exhibitions and exhibited her own work in Ontario and Quebec.

Since graduating, Sarah has focused on connecting and growing Ottawa’s cultural landscape. She’s worked for The Ottawa Art Gallery as a Curatorial Assistant, The Canadian Robotics and AI Ethical Design Lab as a Researcher and The Ottawa Jazz Festival as a Designer. More recently, Sarah has been assisting with the promotion and funding of Canadian curators and artists at The Hnatyshyn Foundation.

She hopes to gain further knowledge and skills from the MPNL program, so that she can have a significant impact on the development of cultural programs in Canada. She also hopes to gain the tools to turn her passion project Nosy Mag, an Ottawa arts and culture publication, into a sustainable nonprofit organization.
