Carleton’s Canada-India Centre for Excellence to Host Seminar on India’s 2019 Elections
Carleton University’s Canada-India Centre for Excellence (CICE) will host a seminar on the 2019 India general elections featuring High Commissioner Vikas Swarup and an expert panel.
When: Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Where: Room 2017, 20th floor, Dunton Tower, Carleton University
Media are invited to attend the event.
With more than 900 million voters eligible to cast a ballot, the upcoming Indian general elections are poised to be the largest democratic exercise in history.
CICE’s seminar will bring together experts to discuss the candidates, possible outcomes and impact on the Canada-India relationship. Event speakers and panelists include Pradeep Merchant, chair of the CICE’s Governing Council, Prof. Stanley Winer in the School of Public Policy and Administration, Arun Sahu, deputy High Commissioner of India, a representative from the Government of Canada, and the Canada-India business community.
