Carleton Co-sponsors International Conference: Prison Transparency and COVID-19 in a Comparative Perspective
Co-sponsored by Carleton University’s Department of Law and Legal Studies, the international conference, Prison Transparency and COVID-19 in a Comparative Perspective, is a two-day workshop interrogating transparency and accountability in prison systems the world over with a specific focus on the impacts of COVID-19.
Carleton Professors. Dawn Moore and Hollis Moore will be among the presenters.

There will be simultaneous translation between English and Spanish with the support of the Canadian Embassy in Argentina and Paraguay.

Conference workshops feature academics, activists, advocates, prison and immigration detention watchdogs and people with lived experience of incarceration. The conference includes presenters from Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Italy.
