Carleton University Welcomes Back In-Person Visitors to the Annual Biology Butterfly Show

The popular Biology Butterfly Show returns to Carleton University this fall with the option of in-person or virtual visits to the campus greenhouses. Hosted by the Department of Biology, the show features approximately 1,000 exotic butterflies representing 41 different species from around the world amid lush plants in a tropical setting.

Visitors may experience butterflies landing on colourful clothing or perching on an outstretched hand.

In-person visits are available on weekends with a timed ticket available onsite, while virtual visits are possible during the week via Zoom. For details on in person and virtual visits see: https://carleton.ca/biology/annual-butterfly-show/planning-your-visit/#location.

Where: Nesbitt Biology Building
When: Saturday, October 1 until Sunday, October 9, 2022 between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Media are invited to attend in person on September 29, between 1 and 3 p.m.

Donations are welcome and can be made at the event or online.
