Across the Atlantic, Rethinking Partnerships: Europe and Canada in a Changing World

Saturday, November 7, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:30 am

The Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA) is pleased to host Beate Meinl-Reisinger, Austria’s Federal Minister for European and International Affairs, for a timely discussion on the evolving relationship between Europe and Canada amid shifting geopolitical realities. As democratic partners navigate growing security challenges, economic uncertainty, and changing global power dynamics, Minister Meinl-Reisinger will explore how transatlantic cooperation can be strengthened to advance shared values, prosperity, and international stability. This conversation will offer valuable insights into the future of European-Canadian relations and the opportunities for deeper collaboration in an increasingly complex world.

A continental breakfast will be served at 10:00am.

The talk will begin at 10:30am and we invite students, faculty, alumni, and members of the broader community to join us for this important discussion.
