Are you interested in national and international defence and security issues? Join us for an employer information session with representatives from the Department of National Defence’s Policy Officer Recruitment Programme (PORP). The PORP is a three-year professional development program designed to recruit and develop talented individuals from entry to working-level in the Policy Group at the Department of National Defence. The PORP is designed to provide participants with the experience, knowledge, and competencies required to emerge as well-rounded and effective Defence Policy Officers. Students will have the opportunity to:

• Learn about the program and its structure;
• Hear directly from PORP representatives about their experiences and insights; and
• Ask questions about the application process, eligibility, and tips for success.

Whether you’re simply curious about defence policy or planning to apply this year, this session offers a valuable inside look at how the PORP can launch your career in defence policy.
