Professor of International Affairs
History of International Theory and the European Union
David Long is Professor of International Affairs in the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs at Carleton University.
Professor Long has published on the history of international relations theory as well as on the European Union and transatlantic relations. His current research interests include the concept of interdisciplinarity and the early stages of the institutionalization of IR as an academic discipline.
Professor Long teaches courses on Advanced International Policy Analysis, Ethics in International Affairs, Global Political Economy, and International Relations Theory.
