Ozan Ayata is a PhD student in Security, Intelligence, and Defence at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs (NPSIA), where his research examines weaponized interdependence and economic coercion. Building on theories of economic statecraft and asymmetric interdependence, his work investigates how middle powers navigate coercive pressure from both their largest trading partners and their security allies.
