Contract Instructor Employment
The School of Nursing invites applications from members of the CUPE 4600-2 bargaining unit and qualified nursing candidates for Contract Instructor roles offered during the Fall 2026 and Winter 2025 terms. The program adopts an innovative approach to nursing education. Through experiential learning, theory, research and clinical practice, the program is unique in its integration of advanced technology, experiential learning and cultural humility to prepare tech-savvy, compassionate and practice-ready nursing students. Our curriculum, which emphasizes Indigenous health concepts and mental health awareness for both the patients and the providers, will foster community-focused, inclusive healthcare innovators.
The specific courses will be posted below by May 5th.
As per Article 15.3 of the current CUPE 4600 Unit 2 Collective Agreement, applicants are required to submit an up-to-date CV, including a complete listing of all courses taught within CUPE 4600 Unit 2 bargaining unit at Carleton University.
NOTE: If you are an incumbent for a course, you are not required to (re)submit documentation beyond an updated CV that includes a list of all course taught.

All positions are subject to budgetary approval.
Final decision for hiring may be determined through an interview process.
Contract Instructor Salaries for Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 courses:
- 0.25 Credit course: $4627.50
- 0.5 Credit Course: $9,255
- 1.0 Credit Course: $18,508
