Ontario Minister Nolan Quinn Visits Carleton Nursing’s Clinical Skills and Simulation Lab
The School of Nursing was pleased to welcome the Honourable Nolan Quinn, Ontario’s Minister of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security, to Carleton University’s Clinical Skills and Simulation Lab.
During the visit, School of Nursing Director Danielle Manley introduced Minister Quinn to Carleton’s nursing program and shared how simulation-based learning is integrated into nursing education.

Jo and Melanie also led a simulation demonstration, providing a closer look at how students practise clinical skills, strengthen decision-making and build confidence in a safe and controlled environment before working with real patients.

The visit offered an opportunity to showcase how Carleton Nursing combines hands-on learning, simulation and innovative teaching approaches to prepare students for their future careers in health care.
