The Opening of Carleton Newest Facility of the Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre

Carleton University School of Nursing Celebrates the Opening of the Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre

Last week, the Carleton University School of Nursing officially celebrated the opening of the Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre, Carleton’s newest facility designed to support the next generation of nursing education.

The opening marks an exciting milestone for the School of Nursing and for healthcare education in Ontario. The Centre provides students with a safe, realistic and innovative learning environment where they can develop essential clinical skills, build confidence and prepare for real-world healthcare settings.

Celebrated during National Nursing Week, the event was especially meaningful as the School recognized the leadership, expertise and lasting impact of nurses across Canada. The evening brought together faculty, staff, partners, donors and community members to mark this important step forward for Carleton’s nursing program.

The Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre will play an important role in preparing resilient, practice-ready nurses. Through hands-on learning, simulation-based education and experiential training, students will gain the knowledge and confidence needed to respond to the complex realities of today’s healthcare system.

The School of Nursing is grateful to the individuals, foundations and organizations whose generous support helped bring the Centre to life. Their contributions strengthen learning opportunities for nursing students and support Carleton’s commitment to preparing future healthcare professionals.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in celebrating this milestone and to all those helping shape the future of healthcare through Carleton University.
