The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is a powerful reminder of the collective strength and resilience of our community.
Today, we celebrate the achievements of the PMC over its 34-year history and acknowledge the barriers that still exist, recognizing the ongoing work that needs to be done. As we mark this special day, we reaffirm our commitment to creating more inclusive and accessible spaces of belonging for students with disabilities on campus. Happy International Day of Persons with Disabilities!
If you are interested in learning more, the MacOdrum Library has a wealth of resources that highlight the work, advocacy and experience of disabled folks, as well as resources that share ways that we can make our workplaces, classrooms and world a more accessible and equitable place. Many of these resources are linked in MacOdrum Library’s featured collection, where the books can be accessed online or at our physical book display on Floor 2 by the Library Services Desk.
