Government Relations Consultant at Summa Strategies
Alex is a consultant at Summa Strategies specializing in government relations, policy development, change management, and grassroots campaigns. Alex has over 10 years of experience working in various public, private and not-for profit sectors. He has advised clients in a variety of fields including infrastructure, transport, environment, energy, and municipal affairs.
Prior to joining Summa, Alex was the Director of Public Affairs at the Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA). He was responsible for communicating the transit industry’s public policy positions and managing the government relations activities to effectively mobilize decision-makers and influence policy outcomes.
Alex also worked for Accenture, a global management and technology consulting company. For nearly 4 years, he was involved in large business transformation projects where he primarily led change management campaigns and organizational assessment strategies. He also served as a legislative advisor to a Minister and a Member of Parliament under the Martin government, where he has worked on various policy files and on engaging youth to participate in the democratic process.
Alex holds a Bachelor in Social Sciences (Hons.) in Political Science and Communications from the University of Ottawa and a Masters of Political Management from Carleton University’s Faculty of Public Affairs.
