Amanda is a Vice President, Digital Public and Government Affairs with Edelman Global Affairs. In her role, she works on strategic communications, advocacy, and public relations for clients from a diversity of sectors including non-profits, clean technology, and more. Prior to joining Syntax, Amanda was a Communications Advisor for the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction, and the Director of Communications for Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada.

Amanda’s interest in communications and politics is deeply rooted in advocacy. She first entered politics through volunteer work in Niki Ashton’s parliamentary office, and later worked on her NDP leadership campaign.

In addition to her Master of Political Management degree, Amanda has earned a combined honours degree in Communications and Women and Gender Studies.
