Emily is a Director of Public Affairs in National Public Relations. Prior to she was a government relations specialist at Engineers Canada, the national organization of the 12 engineering regulators that license the country’s 300,000 members of the engineering profession. Over the course of her employment, she has advocated for key policy areas at the national and international level, including climate vulnerability assessments on public infrastructure projects involving new construction or refurbishment, increased representation of women in Canada’s engineering profession, international mutual recognition agreements, and essential infrastructure on First Nations Reserves and in remote communities across Canada.

Prior to her employment at Engineers Canada, she served in the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves, Cadet Instructor Cadre.

In addition to the MPM, Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Political Studies from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa.
