Parliamentary Assistant to MP Churence Rogers
Since February 2018, Jason has worked in the Ottawa office of Member of Parliament Churence Rogers from Bonavista-Burin-Trinity (N.L.) as his Parliamentary Assistant. Before this, Jason worked in the office of an Ontario M.P. assisting in the daily operation of the Parliamentary office.
Prior to completing his MPM, Jason was actively involved in both the Brock University community, where he received his undergraduate degree in Political Sciences and his hometown. Politically, Jason immersed himself into his hometown’s community involving himself in the Chatham-Kent-Leamington constituency working on and managing Federal and Provincial Liberal campaigns. Passionate about Rural Canada, Jason is quick to note how different policies will impact rural areas.
“The Masters of Political Management program is a phenomenal experience that I would recommend to anyone interested in politics. It grew my career prospects and is one of the reasons I am employed on Parliament Hill today. The best aspect of the program is its multi-partisan environment. The instructors and students are drawn from a variety of experiences and partisan persuasions that make cross-party friendships flourish and open your mind to a variety of new ideas. Pursuing the MPM was one of the best decisions I ever made.” – Jason Brown
