Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff & Special Assistant (Policy), Office of the Minister of Natural Resources


Yasmine Atassi is the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff and a Special Assistant on the policy team at the Office of the Minister of Natural Resources. She first started off as an intern as part of the Liberal Party’s Summer Leadership Program.

Yasmine was born and raised in Saudi Arabia and moved to Ottawa in 2016 to pursue a BA in Communication and Media Studies with a minor in Political Science from Carleton University before moving on to pursue her Master’s in Political Management.

Yasmine founded the Arab Students League in 2018 and is currently the president of the Ottawa chapter of Zero Food Waste Canada. She was also a delegate at the 2021 Equal Voice Daughters of the Vote Program.
