Amber Lannon started a term as Interim University Librarian at Carleton University’s MacOdrum Library in January 2020. Prior to this role, she served as Carleton’s Associate University Librarian (Academic Services) since July 2016. During this time, her portfolio included Research Support Services, Access Services, and Archives and Research Collections departments as well as scholarly communications.
Amber has considerable experience in academic libraries, having previously worked at the University of British Columbia and McGill University. Over the past 10 years, she has taken on a number of leadership roles and prior to working at Carleton was the Head Librarian at the McGill University’s Humanities and Social Sciences Library, and the Interim Associate Dean of User Services, McGill University Library.
Amber has a breadth of experience with both the management of large teams and with significant changes in academic libraries, including administration and the delivery of client services and collections.
