Cameron graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Cognitive Science, concentrating in Cognition & Psychology, and has since launched their career as a Technical Analyst at Bell Canada.

As long as you show up with a willingness/desire to learn you can be successful in any endeavor. Most of us weren’t sure of our next steps prior to graduation. The skills you are learning today are setting the foundation for your future career, even if you don’t know what that is yet.

Brief description of what I do!

I work as a Technical Analyst (software) for a group within Bell Canada that develops and supports 911 Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) software for use by public safety agencies across North America. My primary role is to deploy, support, and maintain these systems.

What inspired your career path after graduation?

A desire to have a meaningful role in a fast-paced yet rewarding field.

How did your experience in the psychology program shape your journey?

My university experience was instrumental in building self confidence. It also set me up with a lifelong desire to learn.

What skills or experiences were most valuable after graduation?

The ability to write and communicate clearly has been one of the most crucial skills after graduation.

What has been a highlight or proud moment in your career so far?

Taking a lead role on several critical projects and delivering them to completion.
