Corrine Staff

After completing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Neuroscience and Mental Health in 2019, Corrine went on to earn her MSc in Neuroscience from the University of Ottawa in 2022. She now works as a Business Analyst with Access Mental Health and Addictions, where she contributes to improving mental health services through her expertise.

Brief description of what I do!

I analyze data to establish reporting standards and monitor for system issues within the data. I evaluate program processes to identify and provide solutions for inefficiencies. I provide technology support for frontline staff and act as a bridge between development teams and operations teams.

What inspired your career path after graduation?

After completing my Master’s, I continued working as a Research Assistant in the same lab. A few months later, I was recommended for a Data Analyst position in this program and applied. Over time, my role as evolved into a Business Analyst position.

How did your experience in the psychology program shape your journey?

The psychology program provided me with excellent foundational skills in research methods and statistics that were instrumental in setting me up for success in my earlier role as a data analyst.

What skills or experiences were most valuable after graduation?

The experience of data processing and analytics during my thesis project.

What has been a highlight or proud moment in your career so far?

Helping build the foundation for Eastern Ontario’s centralized intake program for Mental Health and Addictions.
