BA Honours

The 2026-2027 Program Requirements apply to students admitted in the Fall of 2026.

Students who were admitted prior to Fall of 2026 need to check the Undergraduate Calendar of the year they were admitted.

Sample Program Layout

Using the program requirements in the 2026-2027 Undergraduate Calendar, this is one possible way in which to complete your program. If you have any questions, please contact the undergraduate office for academic advising.

Year 1

• 1.0 credit First Year Seminar (Doesn’t need to be Psychology)
• 1.0 Introductory Psychology (PSYC 1001 and PSYC 1002)
• 1.0 Elective credit (non-PSYC)
• 1.0 Science credit
• 1.0 Elective credit (Non-PSYC)(Try to satisfy a Breadth requirement)

Year 2

• 1.0 credit PSYC 2001 and PSYC 2002
• 0.5 credit: PSYC 2307 or 2700
• 1.5 credit (Three of:) PSYC 2100, 2301, 2400, 2500, 2600, 2801
• 1.0 Science credit
• 1.0 Elective credit (non-PSYC)

Year 3

• 1.0 PSYC 3000
• 1.0 credit Honours Seminar (One of:) 3100, 3300, 3400, 3500, 3600 or 3700
• Note: Pre-req for Honours Seminar is a major CGPA of 9.0.  Honours Seminar is required for Thesis Stream.  If taking Honours Project – PSYC 4910 then replace Seminar with 1.0 Psych credit @ 3000 level.
• 1.0 Elective credit (can be PSYC)
• 1.0 Elective credit (non-PSYC)
• 1.0 Elective credit (non-PSYC)

Year 4

• 1.0 credit PSYC 4910 (MAJOR GPA 6.0) or PSYC 4908 (MAJOR GPA 10.0)
• 1.0 credit PSYC (3000 level or above)
• 1.0 credit Elective (can be PSYC)
• 1.0 Elective credit (can be PSYC)
• 1.0 PSYC credit 2000 level or above

Please note: Students are only allowed to register in 7.0 credits at the 1000 level for their entire program.
