Religion and Public Life student Alena Wilson will be presenting a paper during the HCRGSA Conference at the University of Alberta in March. Alena’s paper, entitled “Honk if you Love Jesus”: Christian Rhetoric & Symbolism in the Freedom Convoy 2022” reflects on the impact of Christian fundamentalism on Canadian politics and public life, specifically focusing on the symbols and references made at the Freedom Convoy protests last year.
