Heather worked as a Public Servant in Residence at the School of Public Policy and Administration at Carleton, and has been an associate of RGI since 2016. As Senior Advisor, Regulatory Affairs Heather co-lead the development of the new Career Development for Regulatory Professionals program. Heather has 15 years of federal public service experience in regulation of chemicals and waste, having occupied various positions in instrument design and regulatory implementation at Environment and Climate Change Canada.
Born and raised in Ottawa Heather holds a BSc in biology and environmental science, a BEd and a Master of Arts in Public Administration. Prior to joining the public service Heather worked as a secondary teacher and educational consultant in Whitehorse, YT. She is excited to continue integrating her passion for science policy and teaching through the RGI.
