Khalid Egeh, a fourth-year undergraduate student studying Anthropology, conducted ethnographic research with Dr. Matthew Hawkins as part of the independent research course ANTH 4925. As part of his research, Khalid created a podcast that uses an ethnographic and intergenerational scope to understand the experiences of settlement, reorientation, placemaking, racism, inclusion, and exclusion of Somalis in the city of Ottawa. The end result of Khalid's work is Settlement, a podcast featuring six fascinating episodes and interviews. Click here to listen to the podcast on Spotify.
