Annabelle Berthiaume is a SSHRC postdoctoral scholar and fellow of the Mitacs Elevate initiative working under the supervision of Distinguished Research Professor Dr. Rianne Mahon. Moving between people and policy, Annabelle’s current research analyses how mothers, in particular mothers enrolled in employability programs in Ottawa, negotiate work and family obligations. She holds a Ph.D. from McGill University and a Master’s degree from UQAM, both in Social Work. Annabelle’s doctoral dissertation adresses the diffusion of social investment ideas in child and family policies from an intervention standpoint, both at the community level and in child and family front-line services.
