On September 15th, 2020, Efficiency Canada hosted a webinar on becoming a policy advisor. The speaker, Jérôme Bilodeau, teaches a course on Energy Efficiency Policy at Carleton University and Efficiency Canada is housed at Carleton University’s Sustainable Energy Research Centre (CSERC).
What careers are there in energy efficiency? How can I find a green job? How do I become a policy advisor? Join us in September to learn all of this and more. Jérôme will share his path to becoming a policy advisor – from earning a B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, to working in the public and private sector, and now as a teacher himself at Carleton University.
Jérôme Bilodeau is Chief of Policy in the Buildings and Industry Division of Canada’s Office of Energy Efficiency, and teaches Energy Efficiency Policy at Carleton University in Ottawa. Prior to joining the Office of Energy Efficiency, he was Senior Consultant at Dunsky Energy Consulting, and Head of GHG Policy Development and Analysis within Environment and Climate Change Canada’s Energy and Transportation Directorate. He sits on the board of the Canadian International Council’s National Capital Branch, and was a board member of the Canadian Coalition for Green Finance. Jérôme holds a B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Ottawa, and an MBA from HEC Montréal.
