I’ve worked for a number of different non-profit organizations in communications, event-planning and administration on a range of issues, from civil liberties and human rights, to open access and equity in education, and most recently sustainable food systems. I am interested in applying what I’ve learned in the non-profit sector to a career in the public service and was attracted to the combined emphasis on academic rigor and professional skills development that is a cornerstone of Carleton’s MPPA program. One thing that has really stood out to me about the program so for is how supportive my professors and fellow students have been. Even though we will be online for this year, my fellow students have created a vibrant online community where peers support each other In navigating careers and job applications, research projects, and even our fitness goals.
