Welcome Patricia Hardie, our new visiting scholar! Patricia is the manager of the Conservation and Nature Communications team at Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC).
Patricia has spent the majority of her 25-year career communicating complex public policies and programs to a wide range of audiences, building key relationships with partners and stakeholders, and providing strategic advice to address ministerial priorities. Her experience spans both the private and public sector, having held several positions within the Government of Canada, as well as in marketing and performance improvement.
In her most recent role at ECCC, she managed a cross-country team to launch the Government of Canada’s historic Nature Legacy, delivering effective communications on nature-based solutions to climate change, protected areas, and species at risk. Her work has led her to develop numerous collaborative partnerships with non-governmental organizations, Indigenous Peoples, and provincial and territorial counterparts across Canada.
