Dick Abbott Memorial Bursary
This bursary is named after Dick Abbott, who was a long-standing member of the School’s faculty. The award was endowed in 1997 in his memory. Colleagues who remember Dick have shared that he was a key institution builder at Carleton in the School and in the Department of Law and Legal Studies. He was committed to the view that law ought to be a tool for social good and he dedicated his career to labour law and mediation. This award is given annually by the Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs, on the recommendation of the Director of the School of Public Administration, to a graduate student in the School of Public Administration
