On September 8, the SPPA hosted a lively panel discussion on Disinformation in the Digital Age as part of our SPPA Orientation day.
Panel Discussion: Disinformation in the Digital Age, Richcraft Hall, September 8, 2023
Three experts shared their insights on the problem: Evan Balgord, Executive Director of the Canadian Anti-Hate Network; Carly Dybka, Director of Digital Communications at Justice Canada; and Sridaya Srivatsan, Program and Policy Analyst with Canadian Heritage. The insightful presentations were followed by a rich Q&A period. Moderated by Prof. Phil Ryan, the event was part of SPPA’s Orientation Day for our incoming graduate students. A number of our alumni, current students and faculty also attended. It was an engaging, interactive session on an important topic with which to initiate our incoming public policy students.
