2024 SPPA Orientation

The SPPA 2024 Orientation will be hosted on Friday, September 8th in Richcraft Hall. Incoming SPPA students can anticipate a well-structured orientation designed to introduce them to their new academic community. The day begins with a breakout session led by Program Supervisor Dr. Ammi, specifically for PhD students. Following this, Amanda Clarke and faculty will host a general orientation session, where they will welcome the new students, provide essential information, and facilitate introductions. A networking lunch will offer students the chance to interact with representatives from SPPA student groups. In the afternoon, students will participate in breakout sessions with their respective Program Supervisors to meet colleagues from their specific programs. The day concludes with a panel session led by Professors Adegboyega Ojo and Anil Varughese, which includes a Q&A and additional information provided via Brightspace. The evening reception will welcome students, alumni, and faculty, featuring a keynote speech by Catherine Stewart and an overview of the Graduate Diploma in Public Policy & Program Evaluation by Prof. Robert Shepherd.
