Building respectful and meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities was the focus of an Indigenous Cultural Awareness Workshop for Towards Carleton@100 Working Group members.

Led by Lane Bourbonnière from Carleton’s Centre for Indigenous Support and Community Engagement, the session explored how to approach engagement with care, reciprocity and respect throughout the consultation process.

Through discussion and reflection, participants considered how to build meaningful relationships and create opportunities for Indigenous perspectives to help shape the university’s future and inform the strategic planning process.
