Equity and Inclusive Communities Workshop
Ensuring everyone in the Carleton community has a meaningful opportunity to shape the university’s future was the focus of an Equity and Inclusive Communities workshop for Towards Carleton@100 Working Group members.
Led by Ikram Jama and Krista Craven from Carleton’s Department of Equity and Inclusive Communities, the session explored how relationship-building, accessibility, transparency and meaningful participation can support more inclusive consultation and engagement.
Participants discussed how to ensure diverse perspectives are heard, understand who is affected by strategic decisions, and communicate how community input can shape the planning process.
