Daniah Mohammed

Master of Applied Science Student (Department of Systems and Computer Engineering)

Daniah Mohammed is a Master of Applied Science student in the Department of Systems and Computer Engineering, specializing in autonomous and connected vehicle technologies. She completed her undergraduate degree in Software Engineering at Carleton University in 2024.

Mohammed’s expertise is rooted in embedded systems and software engineering, with a growing research focus on advancing autonomous and connected vehicle systems. During her undergraduate studies, she gained hands-on experience through a hackathon hosted by SKYTRAC, where her team developed an embedded software solution and won the $15,000 grand prize. This experience led to Mohammed’s role as an Embedded Software Engineer at SKYTRAC, where she worked on aviation technology systems. She is currently continuing to build her technical expertise through her master’s research in the TrustCAV program under the supervision of Professors Mohamed Atia and Mojtaba Ahmadi, and through an embedded software engineering internship with Pleora Technologies.

As a student member of the Towards Carleton@100 strategic visioning process, Mohammed is committed to contributing to innovation, collaboration and student success. She brings a student perspective shaped by both academic and industry experience, with a focus on supporting the future development of the university community.
