Controller (Financial Services)

Kevin Mann is Controller in Financial Services at Carleton University. Holding the CPA, CA and CRM designations, he oversees the Controller’s Office and provides leadership across the university’s financial planning, reporting and accounting functions. 

His responsibilities include providing expertise in budgeting, forecasting, expense control and financial accounting as well as overseeing the preparation of the university’s financial statements and budget reports. Mann plays a key role in supporting institutional decision-making through financial analysis, planning and reporting processes. 

A significant part of his work involves overseeing the university’s annual budget process, including the development, improvement and utilization of budgeting systems and tools. Mann also provides forecasts of key operating elements to support strategic planning and institutional reporting requirements. 

Through his leadership of the Controller’s Office, Mann helps ensure financial accountability, effective resource management and informed financial planning across the university. His expertise supports both operational effectiveness and long-term institutional sustainability.
