What is your favourite thing about the College?

The relationships I’ve developed with students and professors. The unique structure of the program, combined with events like formal and fight night, helps build personal and professional relationships that will last for years. The College is more than just a degree.

What will you miss the most?

Discussion groups!! Being able to exchange ideas with our professors and peers in an open dialogue is so incredibly invaluable. The enthusiasm and engagement of HUMS students in discussion is unmatched in other programs.

What is your favourite reading/book/text from the program?

It’s so hard to choose just one! Either Ecclesiastes or Persuasion by Jane Austen.

What’s next for you?

I working as a supply teacher at Bettye Hyde ELC and I hope to pursue a M. Phil in Modern and Contemporary Literary Studies at Trinity College Dublin in 2024.
