What is your favourite thing about the College?
Definitely the community aspect where everyone – students of all years, faculty and staff- seem to know each other and are a friendly face walking through the halls. The professors I had were all extremely passionate about making class interesting for students and pushing us to think critically for ourselves. I will certainly miss their guidance!
What will you miss the most?
I will miss the in-person lectures and the often lively discussion groups of the ‘before times.’ It is sad to have missed those interactions this past year but I was grateful the college could accommodate to the best of their abilities.
Honourable mention: Hums-o-ween.
What is your favourite reading/book/text from the program?
Anything from HUMS 3000, especially Mary Wollstonecraft, for sure. Though The Decameron from HUMS 3200 seems eerily relevant too and it was also a great read!
What’s next for you?
I am currently researching QAnon and far-right wing extremism for the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and am potentially looking to continue my academic journey in a similar field in the years to come.
