What is your favourite thing about the College?
There are too many favourite things! From the small class sizes to movie nights in the lecture hall, the College gives a sense of family and home.
What will you miss the most?
My friends and the memories in the lounge. The lounge was heaven for me. It was where I had my first conversation about hair dyes, becoming an adult, and where I made my best friends. It was also the place I ran to if I had to complain to random students about the work load, need life advice, want a cup of tea, or just sleep. Anyone could have any weird conversation and it would be considered completely normal, only if it happened in the College. The lounge was where you shared your deepest darkest secrets but also where you argued if milk or cereal goes first. It’s the only place where you can tap on the shoulder of any senior and ask them to edit your paper, since you’re too scared to hand it in without some assurance.
What is your favourite reading/book/text from the program?
Dante’s Divine Comedy will always have a special place in my heart. After reading the text in second year, I couldn’t get it out of my head all summer. All my life I thought travelling from one country to another on a plane would bring the best feeling in the world. But I discovered that travelling from Hell to Paradise through Dante’s words is a blessing that can top anything.
What’s next for you?
In the next chapter of my life, I am planning on pursuing a Masters degree in either Science or Education. Regardless of what I do, I will probably annoy my colleagues about whether or not Aristotle’s unmoved mover was actually moving or wasn’t.
