Research Spotlight: Forever Chemicals
Biochemistry Professors Amy Rand and Daniel Grégoire have been awarded funding from the New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF) from the Government of Canada. The funding will investigate the potential of the gut microbiome in breaking down carcinogenic ‘forever chemicals’ called per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
