With a new invasive insect knocking on Canada’s door, the so called “murder hornet” has yet to be spotted this year. Biology Professor Heath MacMillan believes that our harsh winter’s might be to thank for this. Different insects have varying cold tolerances and invasive pest and insects can have a difficult time establishing because of our winters.
