Carleton University’s Department of Biology has grown a colossal pumpkin beside the Nesbitt greenhouses, and it’s time for everyone to take a shot at guessing its weight!
For just $5 per guess, you can participate, and all proceeds will support the Laura Thomas Memorial Fund in Biology.

How to Enter
Visit the Biology admin office at 209 Nesbitt Building to submit your guesses between 9 a.m. and Noon or 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday. You can make multiple guesses, but please bring exact change.
Don’t delay! The guessing game is open until Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. at the Department of Biology.
Special Event
If you need some last-minute inspiration, join us on Oct. 31 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Nideyinan galleria (formerly the University Centre) for a Halloween-themed event. You can submit your guesses and donations directly during this event, and the giant pumpkin will make a grand appearance!
The winner, whose guess is correct or comes closest, will be announced on Oct. 31 at the event and on social media. They’ll win Apple AirPods!
