The Amgen Scholars Canada Program is a fully funded summer research program for undergraduate students across Canada to participate in innovative biomedical research with faculty at the University of Toronto. Throughout this 10-week program, Amgen Scholars will develop the skills necessary for careers in science through a combination of hands-on research, mentorship, professional development activities, and social activities. Amgen Scholars conduct hands-on, innovative research in cutting-edge facilities at the University of Toronto under the mentorship of faculty with opportunities to work in cancer biology, cardiovascular science, cellular and molecular biology, immunology, neuroscience, regenerative medicine and others.
Applications are being accepted for the Summer 2024 cohort until February 1, 2024. The program encourages applications from individuals who come from groups traditionally underrepresented in the STEM fields (such as those coming from rural or inner-city areas and individuals whose backgrounds and experiences would bring diversity to the program). Previous research experience is not a requirement for participation in the program.
