The Canadian Association for Plant Biotechnology virtual seminar series will continue Thursday March 27th, 2025 at 2 pm EST with Dr. John McMurdy who will present a seminar entitled: “Regulatory and Trade Policy Impacts on Genome Editing use in Plants”.
Dr. John McMurdy is Vice President for Plant Biotechnology and Seed Innovation at CropLife International where he leads global association programs that promote plant science innovations, particularly around plant genetic improvements, in sustainable food systems. Previously, Dr. McMurdy served as senior international research and biotechnology advisor in the Bureau for Food Security at the US Agency for International Development where he managed agency investments in agricultural R&D and capacity development programs. He received his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from Brown University and his B.S./M.S. from the University of Rochester.
