My Carleton Experience: As a mature student, when I decided to return to school, I had reservations about whether I could fit in. Carleton University made it exceptionally easy for me! The inclusive culture encouraging collaboration among peers allowed me to meet so many bright students and mentors. Both the professors and upper-year students have been very passionate about sharing their knowledge and experience; it was impossible not to feel the enthusiasm to learn. I am very grateful for all the opportunities Carleton University has provided me throughout the past four years.
My Goals for the Future: In the short term, I will study towards a Master of Biology degree at the University of Ottawa, focusing on computational neuroscience and combining my previous and current degrees. My ultimate goal is to pursue an academic career while offering my software engineering experience to scientific research.
