Jennifer Rankin
Jennifer Rankin is a Research Officer with the Urban Aboriginal Knowledge Network (UAKN) at the National Association of Friendship Centres located in Ottawa. Jennifer is Ojibway with my family roots from Batchewana First Nation, near Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Jennifer is an experienced researcher in the field of Indigenous health and well-being with strong experience working for non-profit organizations. Jennifer is also contributing to NAFC’s research infrastructure and is very passionate about restoring power imbalances that can be found in research and how we can build capacity and sustainability for community driven research that encompasses Indigenous ways of knowing. Jennifer also holds the violence file at NAFC that advocates how building strong and healthy communities create violence free communities.
