Kate Garvie
Past Community Co-lead, Community-Based Organization Tools Working Group
Kate Garvie was a community co-lead for CFICE’s Tools Working Group. She is the Admin and Communications Coordinator for Deep Roots Food Hub, a rapidly growing organization in West Carleton that is committed to creating a resilient and equitable local food system. Previously, Kate was helping run a Community Supported Agriculture market garden near Campbellford, Ontario, and she still loves to get her hands dirty as often as possible.
Kate’s interest in community-led development comes out of her undergraduate degree in International Development at Trent University and lessons learned during her Master’s in Environmental Studies at the University of Victoria.
