Indigenous Perspectives on Creating a Better System to Support and Encourage Indigenous Employment in the Canadian Banking Sector
Project Description: Indigenous workers are under-represented in the Canadian banking sector. This project seeks to interview Indigenous workers in the banking sector to understand challenges and barriers they face, as well as to interview Indigenous youth to understand barriers to seeking employment in banking. We will also be asking for suggestions on how these barriers can be addressed.
Dr. Merridee Bujaki (Sprott School of Business, Carleton University) and Dr. Camillo Lento (Lakehead University) are partnering with Craig Hall from Indigenous Works in this research.
