If you are planning to apply for an Ontario Graduate Scholarship, you will find the forms and the information you need here. This is especially important for anyone looking to apply for admission to the PhD in Cultural Mediations from outside Carleton University. If you know of someone who might be considering applying for Fall 2015 admission, please encourage them to contact me.
OGS applications are due to the department on Monday, December 1st, 2014 and we are having our second Lunch and Learn session on grant applications on Thursday, November 20th from 12:00 – 1:30. Please bring your plans of study in whatever form with you and all of your questions for the Grant Committee. We will go through the forms as well in hopes that we can avoid any confusion later. Coffee, tea and snacks will be provided so please join us.
I’ve been asked about our next coffee hour – stay tuned – I hope to have a date soon. In the meantime, we have talks, panel discussions and even an upcoming performance this Thursday from 4 to 6 pm with the Glebe Montessori School with Jesse Stewart and master Korean percussionist Don-Won Kim (Please email Jesse if you would like to attend at Jesse.Stewart@Carleton.ca) at CUAG. On Friday, November 21st, we will be hosting a talk by Dr. Jeff Packman from University of Toronto – you can find more on his talk here.
I was lucky enough to be involved in Convocation on Saturday – Congratulations to Dr. Tom Everrett, PhD in Cultural Mediations! Bask in your moment for a while Tom! As an added bonus, I was there to see Trina Cooper-Bolam and Melba Villamizar Rodriguez convocate with their MAs. Congratulations to all of you!
