The Otsego Institute (http://www.otsegoinstitute.org/ )  is a four day workshop for advanced students in Native American art history held at the Fennimore Art Museum in Cooperstown New York, which houses the Eugene and Clare V Thaw collection of Native American Art. It is held every two years and the travel and accommodation of successful students is funded by the program. This past year two Cultural Mediations students, Stacy Ernst and Wahsontiio Cross were accepted to attend as well as Carleton M.A. graduate and PhD candidate at the University of Edinburgh, Caitlin McCormick, who spent the summer researching and writing in ICSLAC. Ruth Phillips (ICSLAC and SSAC: Art History) is a co-founder of the Institute and continues to serve as one of its teaching faculty.
